I find that if I collect the most annoying, irritating music that I can get, then I want to workout faster in order to be done with it. I burned a CD with Shatner, Nimoy, Kate Bush, Andy Williams, William Hung, and many novelty/UIC songs. My wife thinks that I am stupid/crazy.

Yahoo! I got my cast off this past week and I can start light workouts tomorrow.
My workout music is mostly quick tempo for my cardio period.

I use techno/electronica and dance when I'm working out. Something with a beat. I used to run to the Mortal Kombat soundtrack (can't run anymore). Also used to sometimes run to cadence tapes from Army Rangers and the Navy. It worked well if I was running outdoors--I could sing along with either the lead or the follow group, and it helped remind me to breathe.
I include some of the stadium type songs, and high-beat mashup type songs. Kemkraft 4000's Zombie Nation, for example, is one of those that I workout well to. And N.E.R.D.'s Rockstar. Songs along those lines are also on my iPod in my workout playlist. /tk

Dola..
Also, if you can find it...DJ Keoki did a remix of the Speed Racer theme which has a GREAT beat. There are a couple remixes of it, actually, sometimes referred to as the porn remixes. If anybody has any of these, and would mind sharing, I'd be much obliged...send me a PM please. /tk
