Sunglasses?

I'm looking to buy sunglasses, but I usually just bought cheap ones... I want to buy good ons this time, but I don't know what to look for? Are more glasses the same? I want something I can wear while driving, but also walking on the street, playing softball, etc...

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Polarized lenses are the best for variable conditions. They reduce glare from things like snow and water. If you want to use them for sports, then I'd look at plastic lenses and plastic frames. Besides that, I'd just head down to your local sunglass shop and take a look.

If your talking about features, Polarized, UV protection, or wrap arounds you can shop at Wal~Mart and find a very nice pair for around $25.00

Now if you want to get a really nice pair for around $100.00 or over from a mall Sunglass shop: Then your talking Style and fashion.

Are you a pretty boy?

Don't buy the expensive ones, you will lose those fuckers fast than you can say "shit i lost those fucking sun glasses that I just spent 70 bucks on!"

at least that is the way it goes for me, 4 dollar glasses last for years but those 70 dollar bastards seem to get fucked up way to quick.

This is so true...however, my last sunglasses lasted 2 years, until this summer's vacation when a wave hit me from behind while I was helping my 4 year old son and knocked me down. They were swept away, so we had to make an emergency pitstop at a mall to buy some more. I lost Oakley XX, and picked up a set of A-Wires instead.

I can't wear sunglasses, they just look fucking retarded on me, so I just buy the big goofy ones, since I'll look stupid anyway.

Be cery carefull on buying online anywhere. That is unless you know your shit about sunglasses.

Replicas may look the same, but most do dont have UV protection and are Polarized.

Be wary of buying cheap Brand Glasses online, most of these are factory seconds that either have scratches or problems in the lense coating.

I can't buy cheap sunglasses, I just can't stand the cheap lenses.

Once you try expensive glasses it will be very difficult to go back to the cheap ones.

Cool

When you get up in the morning and the light is hurt your head
The first thing you do when you get up out of bed
Is hit that streets a-runnin’ and try to beat the masses
And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Spied a little thing and I followed her all night
In a funky fine levis and her sweater’s kind of tight
She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molases
But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Now go out and get yourself some big black frames
With the glass so dark thay won’t even know your name
And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes:
Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

i have a pair of Oakley's that I'm quite happy with. Very very happy, and I consistently get compliments (the one thing about me that does get complimented). They're the bug-eye sorta wraparound ones with ice blue coloring on grey frames. Quite nice.

No, I don't want to spend that much for them.

I'll head to some sports stores and Wal-Mart to look for UV, Polarized glasses then.

Completely and totally agreed. I lucked into a free pair of Maui Jim's that retailed for about $150 -- they were the greatest things ever, but they got stolen. Until I'm ready to fork over another $150, I won't have sunglasses. I've tried to go back to cheap ones and it's horrible.

I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Watch you weave then breathe your story lines
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes

While she's deceiving me
It cuts my security has
She got control of me
I turn to her and say

Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades oh no
Don't masquerade with the guy in shades oh no
I can't believe it!
Cus you got it made with the guy in shades oh no

And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Forget my name while you collect your claim
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
See the light that's right before my eyes

While she's deceiving me
She cuts my security
Has she got control of me
I turn to her and say

Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades oh no
Don't masquerade with the guy in shades oh no
I can't believe it!
'Cus you got it made with the guy in shades oh no
'Cus you got it made with the guy in shades oh no

Oh I say I wear my sunglasses at night
I wear my sunglasses at night
I wear my sunglasses at night
I say it to you now
I wear my sunglasses at night
I wear my sunglasses at night
I wear my sunglasses at night
I cry to you
I wear my sunglasses at night
I wear my sunglasses at night

Go to Sunglass hut and get you some Ray-Ban Cutters. Best sunglasses I've ever owned.

I know I'm late to this thread, but just go to WalMart or Kohls or some place similar and pay less than $10. Hell, buy three or four pairs. I bought exactly one "good" pair of sunglasses. No matter how much I tried to protect them, used the hard case, and tried to be gentle with them, they still got scratched and beat up in the same amount of time as the cheap ones.

Yeah, I wanted Oakleys... went to the Sunglasses Hut... and the lady said there' sone pair for $110Cdn, and the rest are from $160-$500... I'll buy some cheap pair, since I don't want to lay down $200 for a pair. Thanks for the information.

Got the "Polished Black / Black Iridium Polarized" ones. Hope they provide me with great sun protection.
