RendeR: Friend or Foe?

JiMG has stated that I have many problems and that he's not the only one to see them, simply the only one willing to state them. So lets have it.

This is your chance to be heard, let me know what you really think. be honest, be brutal, be flaming, be a lolly pop sucking super cop, whatever it takes, just get it out here so I can see what people really think.

Sometimes it takes a good hard look from outside to see something in yourself, so maybe this can help me and my *problems* hrm?

I don't know you well enough to say anything for sure, but you do seem to have a bit of a persecution complex; you appear to be extremely high strung; and to be overly sensitive to criticism.

I would suggest one hour of quiet meditation every morning for at least 3 months.

Rich boy? Dude, you got me ALL wrong =) Your helmet became an early victim of my time contraints back then, soon after if you remember I bailed from all leagues. Sad but true, life intervened.

Since our communications have all generally been volitile, I see exactly where you get this from. Meditation is a good thing, I'm not so sure it'll do much for what ails me, but perhaps it will help center the thoughts for awhile. Very good suggestion.

Is Render trying to equate himself with Hornsmaniac? Who else creates polls like this?

All my reasoning for my choice can be found in this post.

Meditation does nothing for what ails you, but it can sometimes provide insight into how your brain works. What I find is that it actually gives me a third person perspective on my thinking patterns. Then, when you're not meditating, you recognize patterns you've observed and instead of being transported by them, you can struggle with them.

As always, writing about meditating totally turns it to shit...

Anyway. We all have issues. I just wish you'd be nicer to people you find fault or disagree with.

This relates to another thread, trust me I am not egotistical enough to actually expect positive results from this thread, but I want to see how many people are honest enough to tell me what they think. And I hope I get more than the normal respondants.

As I said, it seems every time you and I have disagreed its been a volitile topic and perhaps just shitty days on my side as well. I have a temper, and I can be quite passionate about some topics. I suppose some anger management classes might help with my initial reactions to what people type

I've never had a problem with you as I tend to stay out of threads that turn into flame wars. But I definitely have noticed a tendency to personalize discussions. Meaning you insult someone on a personal level when arguing about non-personal issues. My suggestion is more hugs, maybe get a puppy.

Not a dachsund. Get a mutt; if you want a really rewarding experience go to the pound and rescue the next dog on the euthanasia list. The dog will appreciate it, trust me.

I've always thought you were a cool guy, if rather opinionated. In recent months you've been extremely bitter and harsh in your responses to things - and particularly those with which you disagree. Sometimes shockingly so. But your posts always leave little doubt about how you really feel.

HRm, ok, after reviewing some of my posts in the past, my posts from this year do seem much more militant and much less reserved in their application.

^Thirded (to Buzzbee, since other posts have been made)

We've never really interacted much, but generally I don't think you're a bad guy. However, how you acted in the JeeberD thread and then lambasting Christianity like you did in the Narnia thread I thought was poor form. I understand if you have a bone to pick about things, but there really wasn't any tact on your part in those instances, just an attack mode that caused backlashes from others. I admit to being surprised because I didn't think you would be one for such explosive commentary. I guess I didn't know you well enough.

Eh, I don't know.. I sort of like you since I have a tendency to snap on people occasionally myself and we mentally imbalanced people tend to stick together.

Although it's very strange.. I've yet to meet a bipolar female that wasn't conniving and a balatant liar.
