The first show sucked. The 'bringing in of the hunks' was just dumb and totally made the show uninteresting.

What's the point, anyway. The girl always picks one of the hunks.

yeah. the first show I was enjoying, up until they brought in the hunks and it became clear that the girl was totally going to pick the hunky guy. That totally killed the whole idea of the show for me.

The best was end of season 2. After the girl picks a hunk and they fly off to the tropics, she admits a dark dark secret: she once date Fabio. He loses it, drops her like a hot potato, and flies off the island the next day. Classic TV. The rest of the season before that sucked though.

there bringing some hunks again.
but if a joe gets eliminated, some of them get a makeover and comes back. and it seems like these Joes wont take shit from the hunks this time. |

Yeah, that was amusing. I think the guy didn't really want to date her, just win the competition and get more TV time and stuff. I mean who dumps a girl because she dated Fabio at one time? WTF?

The entire premise of the show is flawed. I've only watched a few minutes of the first season here and there, but they try to play up a personality vs. looks angle--the problem is the "average Joes" seem to be not only physically unattractive, but also socially retarded with little to no charm or self-confidence.

I just don't get how these dudes can fall in love with a chick when they know damn well the next minute after your date with her she is doing the exact same thing with 7-11 other guys.
I thought I was naive back in the day... |
