Scouts Worst Nightmare

Radio station up here had an interesting (and funny) call in segment the other day. The goal was for callers to come up with the worst skill sets possible for a given sport/position. Being from Edmonton, most calls were based on CFL QB's and NHL players.

A few branched out and went MLB and NFL, but NBA went largely untouched.

As an example:

The fielding skills of Jose Canseco.
The throwing accuracy of Junior Felix (there's a walk down memory lane for Jays fans).
The hitting skill of Mario Mendoza (an obvious one of course).
The PR relations of Barry Bonds.
The fan appreciation of Ty Cobb.

I'm quite curious to see what names and related skills people pick for this.

I thought this was about the boy scout who went missing. A scout's worst nightmare would have to be a missing 11-year old with no sense of direction (according to his mom). Glad to see it ended well, though.

Sorry for the threadjack.

I don't know, I'd almost rather the cut than the header over the left field fence. Still my second favorite home run ever (behind Carters in the WS).

Well, tipping the ball over the fence has happened before. It happened last year in a Braves game. A Brave hit it deep and the outfielder hit the ball 2 or 3 times with his glove before the last hit flipped the ball over the fence. Sure it wasn't a head shot but you would figure that fielder would have got it with his glove.

It is always an adventure with Manny in the outfield.

I still love the horrible baserunning the ALCS last year, followed by the HEAD-FIRST slide back into first even though there was no one on the base!!!

Manny looks awkward out there, but he's nowhere near the worst defensive outfielder I've had to watch. I've probably seen 100 worse gloves out there, including Mike Greenwell.
