fantasy empires

with the other thread had it in there (i have very found memories of the game) i tried to get it running on xp.

i tried running it in dos box but my mouse isn't the in game mouse and can't get past the opening screen.

any ideas?

going to goof around with it some more but was wondering if anyone here had it up and running. Miss my level 36 wizard though Meteor Storm + Elves rule! (if i remember right)

A google search for "running dos games on windows" might help.

I haven't tried to run it in years and years...no clue how to get her going in XP.

The Elf hero rocked since they were badass with both melee and ranged combat.

Get any hero Boots of Speed and you're a frigging wrecking crew though. I usually focused on raising undead armies, and they were quite brutal when they got up to Veteran and Elite status.

Man I loved that game. Such a blast with two players battling against each other.

One of my all-time favorites, would love to see a modernized version.

Oh, and also carried over from the other thread, the other old D&D game that I played and enjoyed was Stronghold. Couldn't remember the name of it for anything but just found it looking at Fantasy Empire on Underdogs. That was a fun little game as well, D&D Sim City basically.

Afraid I can't help you out though.

i got the game sorta working but i don't have any sound and worse it isn't seeing my gamepad!

Oh and i never had any success in stronghold(still have the game not sure if it would work). fun game but i was terrible at it.
