I dug this game out yesterday. I forgot how fun this game is. Unfortunately, it crashes every time I try to sim games or at the completion of a played game. Is anyone else still running this game successfully (on XP, for instance). Anyone else with me that this game is a blast?

i personally love the game

i can't get it to do squat. would love to get it to work.

I love playing a pure fictional universe, or full potential league known, or taking over my Phillies and seeing what i can do with them.

I am still recovering from a long-term addiction to Earl Weaver Baseball. This would not help.

I'm actually in a BBPro 98 league. You can't run it in Win2K or WinXP- I actually emailed Sierra about this and they said it's just not doable and they didn't ever come out with a patch for it. I'm one of three simmers in our league because I have a Win95 based computer to run games on (an old Compaq Pentium 133 laptop I got in exchange for a potted plant)

FPS Baseball '96 actually ran on my pc with Win XP. That was THE version, imo.

Yeah I have my CD around here (still on Windows 98 thank God)

I was in a tremendous FPS league, GABL. Lots of fun. GeneralMike was in there too.

I wish it'd start back up. Good times.

I can get it to run partways, but if I try to do anything substantial (say, run a sim), it crashes.

I'll have to go back through and figure out what I did. It may be running it without the CD, but I'm not sure.

dola-

Just reinstalled it. It's working fine on my machine. I installed everything on the disc, and fired it up with the CD in the system. It's playing Houston vs Atlanta right now (Shane Reynolds is not in command of his pitches).

Have you tried simming games? I can play it, too, until I try to sim a league game.
