This is just unacceptable. Being a dick is one thing, wishing harm on another, especially in a 'reaching out' thread is abhorrent. While HA suffers from a 'look at me' personality, and I can accept that much of what he does is just for shock value, this isn't shocking. It is downright uncalled for and has crossed the line. I suggest a 'reminder' to help him remember where the line is. Of course the call is yours to make.

Good call, if I wasn't so lazy I would have reported HA in that thread myself. Note that HJS didn't take offense to HA's original jackassness, afterall the ability for us all to be a jackass on occation helps make FOFC great. But there is being a jackass and being a mean spirited SOB to your fellow poster for no reason whatsoever. No reason to cross over to saying things like that.

Yes, because he's not banned; he's suspended. In the rare case of a banning, I usually block the culprit's IP address if that is possible to do without blocking a whole bunch of innocents. Suspended users can read the board. It would be silly not to let them read it, because all they'd have to do to be able to read it would be to logout and just show up as a guest. I'm not going to require people to be logged in to read the board.

FWIW, yes the CP is set to 2 months for HA right now, but it is my intention to make his suspension 6 weeks. The problem is that there's not a "six-week" option in the CP.

And my first thought was, "Well, he's brought it on himself by repeatedly attempting to defend the indefensible." My second was the "Rowdy" Roddy Piper quote that I've often stated here: "When you call the tune, you have to pay the piper." I figured that since Shorty has been around awhile, he would be familiar with said quote, therefore I could put a veiled reference to it, rather than actually quoting it. Considering that pro wrestlers often come into the ring to music, I thought that "queuing up" Roddy's music would be a little humorous.

To be fair, Marmel, I think this is an "explanation to the board," so that when the "why was HA banned" questions come, this thread will be here to explain it. Generally all bannings have had a public explaination, so why should this one be different?

A person wishing me harm on a messageboard is like a 2 on the scale of 1 to 100 of stresses in my life. I have more aggrivation from not being able to have people understand what I'm saying (not agreeing, just understanding) on messageboards than I do against someone who just being a troll. I agree with SackAttack that HA first attack was much worse, though I see that this one was the one reported.
