Lost all my bookmarks
While online using IE tonight, I somehow "erased" my Firefox bookmarks. Are these saved anywhere on my computer? Do I have to compile them again by hand? Any idea how I could have done this? Firefox's Java console came up briefly, but I know nothing about Java and didn't touch anything.

Your profile should still be stored. Check your documents/application data folder. There should be a Mozilla directory there with your profile.

not sure that this will help, but if you have those bookmarks in IE, you can reinstall Firefox and it will migrate them over to Firefox automatically.

Thank you! I found out later that Firefox was still running although a window was not open. Because I tried to open Firefox while it was still running, it made me create a second profile, hence the reason why I lost my bookmarks. Thanks for help me get them back!

I never would have thought of that. Good to hear nonetheless. |
