The return of the FOFC Nextel Cup was an exciting affair. 148 lead changes among 23 drivers didn't allow anyone to look away from their screen. Travis Elkin, who had the dominant car all day led the pack of the cars down the backstretch on the final lap but heading into Turn 3, It's Craptacular made his move to the inside and completed the pass and took the victory.

It looked that It's Craptacular was going to win back to back races, but he lost the lead after a restart with about 30 laps left and finished. Kai Collins took advantage and took the win.

Jeeber D Mack started on the pole and led for the most of the first half of the race, but wasn't able to hold on during the race's second half. David Gonzalez took over a little before halfway through and dominated the final half of the race, leading 269 laps before taking the victory. Ren Snow came home 2nd, Billy Bushinhimer was 3rd, Mack was 4th and Rookie Ron Juckett rounded out the Top 5.

Ren Snow took the pole at California and led most of the day, but with about 60 laps remaining he lost the lead to It's Craptacular. Craptacular led for 29 laps but was overtaken by Kai Collins, who was on a different pit strategy than the rest of the field. It worked to his advantage and he took the victory, his 2nd in 4 races.
