Five Minutes to Basketballukah (i.e. The March Madness Thread)

Just a few more minutes until the ceremonial first song and the college basketball holy festival begins

Basketball is my least favorite of the four sports, but this opening weekend is my favorite sporting event of the year.

10-9 KU over EKU, they are hanging around. I have a large interest in this game because I know a lot of people who go to EKU..

My wife does the whole better looking mascot thing. She was really torn with Niagara. Likes the whole purple logo thing but her response was "C'mon im not stupid". UConn & Gonzaga went far with their dog mascots.

Man,
Niagara pisses me off sometimes. They have the talent and potential, but they just seem so careless with the ball at times. And I wish Cruz would play defense instead of just standing their.

Niagara is letting it go easy. They keep taking threes left and right, and Cruz is starting to annoy me.

That weird sound you hear at halftime in the Bama-UWM game (UWM up by 13) is legions of bracket geeks chanting over and over... "12-5 Upset! 12-5 Upset!" like it's their holy mantra

12-2 run to take in the half. If they can maintain the ball and take advantage of the turnovers, I think they can do it.

Man I hate halftime. 20 minutes of junk while there is another game they could put on(for more than 30 seconds).

Oklahoma and Kentucky have games that are too close for comfort. If they both end up losing that would hurt my bracket and most in the state of Kentucky.

Ballgame. EKU played very well, but I think they forgot that fouling and taking quick shots in the last few minutes of a game is a good thing.
