The fantasy baseball advice thread

(And by "the fantasy baseball advice thread", I of course mean "a thread where I ask for advice".)

Standard 5x5 AL/NL league. Head-to-head format. Twelve team league. No especially screwy roster requirements.

I can keep four players from last year's team (which won the championship, I should add). This is a basic keeper league, meaning no contracts or compensation picks or other factors. I just choose four guys who would be best to keep for this and future seasons.

I have two no-brainers: Johan Santana and Todd Helton. For the other two spots, I'm considering:

C V. Martinez - not sold on him, but I'm seeing lists with him as a top-three catcher
2B J. Kent - always a source of cheap 2B power.
3B M. Teixeira - good young hitter.
OF I. Suzuki - average will be there, maybe SBs. No power.
P J. Peavy - already very good and should get better
P C. Pavano - am I falling for FA hype to even include him in consideration?
P Fr. Rodriguez - has the closer's job now.
P R. Halladay - only one year removed from a Cy, although the team won't be good.

Who would you keep?

Remember, Helton and Santana are two of my four spots. I only have two more to use.

Normally I can read.

I guess Peavy and Teixeira then.

I'm just not convinced on Pavano. In and out type coming from the national league. Meh.

C V. Martinez - good choice for value vs. position, most good hitting catchers are getting old
2B J. Kent - sooner or later he is going to begin to slide-I'd stay away
3B M. Teixeira - keep him for sure, 45+hr power, not alot out there at third
OF I. Suzuki - you really can't go wrong, and with Beltre and Sexson now his runs scored will be even higher if thats possible
P J. Peavy - weak offense behind him worries me
P C. Pavano - I'd stay away until he proves he can handle NY
P Fr. Rodriguez - closers are a dime a dozen
P R. Halladay - only one really good season- see Derrick Lowe

That being said I would keep Teixeira and Ichiro, Teixeira will get great power and it is always good to get a guy like Ichiro who gets you alot of catergories.
