Weird FOF occurence
In my latest CFL game against the Durham Bulldogs, the following play occured:
Offense: Single-Back Formation, Trips WR, Strength = Right. Defense: 43 Alignment, Dime Personnel, 3-Deep Zone, Pass - Normal. 3-10-DET37 (13:36) DET 16 Mathias pass completed to 26 Kendall for 12 yards (OOB). Tackled by DUR 94 Dittman. Problem is, I don't have a player called Kendall with the #26... However, Durham does, he's their starting FB! Did the guy come in from their bench and line up on my side for that one play??? Has anybody ever noticed something similar? Can anyone come up with an explanation?

And in Single-Back, you shouldn't have a FB! Mutiny!

A FB is relatively often the main RB on 3rd down. Depending on his skills, obviously. |

No. I'm one pass short in the breakdown by players. Looking a bit further, Kendall is credited with the pass on the Durham statsline... I really have no idea what happened...

Did you win the game? I think that someone may have been slipping him some cash to throw the game.

As a matter of fact, I did win a close game vs then unbeaten Durham.

I've had this happen before too. Additionally, every once in a while my QB throws a pass to one of my defensive players. Both situations are extremely rare though, and I just ignore them as freak occurrences.

I've seen this a couple of times too, and can understand why it happens. It usually happens in 5 WR sets with #5 set as 'any wide receiver', and the games just slots in anybody if nobody qualified is fit.

That traitor! Those 12 yards were mine, I tell you, mine! Don't forget the last play of the game:
2-10-DET12 (00:35) DUR 1 Kimber pass was intercepted by DET 43 Bankston in the end zone. Touchback. I was 12 yards short of winning...12 yards that Kendall gave you...this demands a full-fledged Motormouth investigation!!! |
