Interesting Pricing Scheme with MLB's fantasy plan options

http://www.rototimes.com/index.php?s...20050210092848

Essentialy, they're going to hit up the big boys (Espn, CBS, maybe Yahoo and TSN), and kill the mid sized ones since they can't afford the $500,000 fee. Any lawyers here care to comment on any anti-trust implications ?

Wow... this was bad. I guess those that thought it was going to be no big deal were wrong. I hope that the CDM rips the Advanced Media a new asshole.

The pendulum for "intellectual property" rights has swung too far in the direction of property owners IMO. In any number of fields, we have gone beyond a policy that protects and encourages the development of IP into a policy that actually discourages development by restricting competition. This move is one example of that.

If Major League Baseball was a woman you just know she would be this orca fat slob with a moustache who no one can stand. Kinda like Camryn Manheim but ya know, a woman.

I love baseball, but it continually shoots itself in the head. Good thing I tired of fantasy sports about 3 years ago, or I'd probably be pissed.

This has little to do with IP rights, just an argument as to what is or isn't copyrightable.

Go CDM. I think I'll email them and offer to write a friend of the court letter. I hope they're ready for a good fight.

Excuse my ignorance but I thought that copyright was part of Intellecutal Proprety. Isn't attempting to copyright something which they do not have domain to copyright having to do with IP rights?
