The majority of the pictures have something to do with food, either directly or indirectly. The man and the dog consume the food, the trains transport the food, etc.
After that, I have nothing.

I'm thinking sports nicknames, at least initially.
A few: "Georgia peach" "Catfish" Hunter "Jaws" "Wizard of Oz" The Bus "Nails" "Big Mac" "A Train" (?) "Bear" Bryant (?) The Fridge

The two "train" pics seem troubling to me. I don't mind calling one "Night train" Lane, as it is a very memorable sports nickname (even though the pic is during daytime) -- but what is the other one? Big Train Walter Johnson? (my best bet so far) The Iron Horse Lou Gehrig? Something with "eninge" or "locomotive" maybe?
(Admittedly, that second picture doesn't seem to conjure up either "Night Train" or "Big Train" to me ... more like "toy train." I got nothing. Last edited by QuikSand : 01-27-2005 at 02:09 PM. |

Don't you think that the steam shovel attached to the front of the engine has to come into play somehow?

I don't know if that's an opening on the "lower right" at all. Seems like that just depends on your window size and resolution.
There doesn't seem to be any intentional formatting.

Dunno -- my resolution doesn't have said opening. I'm thinking the ordering is imbedded in the file names -- click to "reply" to the original post, and you'll see file names like A-3 and C-8 and so forth. I preusme we need those as clues in the mix to resolve this. |

No evidence that this particular set of pairings is relevant, but just in case this triggers something with someone… (I’m using given first names here, too – just in case that might be what we’re looking for)

to "Wild Thing" Mitch Williams, Nicknames are a part of sports as much as "taters" or "slams". You've almost finished the first part and the second is to come. Once you've figured out the key the puzzle will nearly be done.

So I'm guessing that the bolded ones are wrong...
For some reason I put "Football" for Shaq when it should obviously have been basketball. Do we have any other guesses for the train and deer pics? Edit: Wait, the enigma changed basketball to football...is there a football player nicknamed Diesel?

On the Bambi picute I messed up and put baseball instead of football, so the enigma fixed that. But was he also indicating that the player was wrong as well? Is the train "The Nolan Ryan Express" since it looks like it's supposed to be a baseball player?

So, the first train picture might instead be Walter "Big Train" Johnson, perhaps?
