Debbie Gibson...

NAKED!!!

Ooh doctor, spank me with a spoon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Debs is back - and bare!

Debbie could learn a lot from X-Tina
Debbie Gibson, the Britney Spears of the 1980s, is launching her pop comeback by shedding her togs for Playboy. Take note, Christina.

No, there's none of that Kylie-esque targeting of the gay market for Miss Gibson.

Gibson, who is unbelievably still just 34-years-old, has decided that dropping her knick-knacks is the best way to promote her comeback tune, Naked.

We're not sure what came first, the song title or the desire to be photographed in the buff.

Back when Britney and Christina were still in nappies, Debbie was belting how hits like Shake Your Love and Only In My Dreams.

Without wearing chaps or a tight air hostess outfit or anything.

Now it seems she's got with the programme and learned from Britters and Xtina that a bit of flesh-bearing shifts records.

According to the New York Post, the Playboy pics are "very sexy, feminine".

Not grubby and attention-seeking? Shame.

Doesn't sound like the good stuff has been published yet. She's seemed to age rather well looking at this:

Yay, another celebrity does Playboy. Bring on the airbrushing and the disappointment that comes with it.

Gotta side with Sov on this one, I kinda think it's all rather SAD plus I never thought she was all that attractive...I mean to me, if someone came up and asked, -heyy you wanna see Debbie Gibson naked?-(and i can appreciate some nakedness) I'd have to seriously think about it and probably cringe a little..
Didnt Tiffany do one several years back after being all religious and stuff? Then the chick from the Go-Go's(now SHEEE had some major airbushing going on ) so yeah, ill hafta YUKKALLA this thread...

Tiffany pictoral was okay, she never did much for me. GoGo chick had to be all airbrushed. The chick that played "PamCakes" in Meet the Parents/Fockers is in it this month, she gets an 'eh from me, not that great. She looks almost inhuman.

That's ok. I have Richard Marx's Greatest Hits on CD. That's much more embarrassing than Debbie Gibson. I mean, at least Debbie has boobies to look at.

Think back to 1989. My high school had a vote to name the school paper. We were a Catholic school, and our mascot was the Vikings. So most of the nominated names were tied to one of those two themes. But no, the incoming freshman class took a "topical" theme to their name. The school had recently expanded, and fish outnumbered the other classes almost two to one. After the vote, the name of the paper became (and still is)... "Out of the Blue"

PB has done good celeb pictorials in the past, not coincidentaly though most of them were of supermodels. Angie, Elle and Carre Ottis come to mind as being very hot, but they all have amazing bodies. The Tiffany spread wasn't that bad, shes got some meat, and I likes me some meat, although the smoothness and roundness was cleary airbrushed.

As far as Debbie goes I have mixed feelings, it probably wont be real good but i'll look anway, I just wish she would of done this when she was 14.

And Electric Youth still rocks, even to this day.

From what I've heard, Playboy's new gameplan is to compete with the FHM-type magaizines by getting celebrities (or former celebrities, in this case) to pose by letting them do topless-only pictorials, e.g. Charisma Carpenter. Not sure how closely they're sticking to that, though - the Teri Polo one in the last issue was surprisingly good.

Ok, just got the Teri pics. The eye makeup is way over the top, girl is pretty with a capital P but they had to skank her up for whatever reason.

On the plus side there doesn't appear to be much air brushing and i like her body.

Thirdly, she'll never be as hot as she was as a plump little red head on Sports Night.

And Jeeber, I couldn't disagree with you more about Angies spread, i've needed to acquire like 6 different copies, thats how much i disagree with you.

I have to agree. I'm sure it's somewhere at my parent's house on 33..or maybe on cassette.

Still...this would've been a lot more relevant in say, 1995, rather than 2005.

Sorry Deb...you're late.

oh and I agree with Suicane..I liked the Angie pics, get over the hair..everyone needs a little extra hair especially for pics like these so they do what they can and more than one tone of hair color is GREAT dammnit (i KNOW this). Plus come on, I'm a girl and even I didnt focus much on her head

I saw a Bangles reunion concert on TV a couple of years ago, and Susanna Hoffs still looked pretty damn good.

Incidentally, I was at a "Taste of Boston" (also a couple of years ago), and I was surprised to see Debbie Gibson performing her old songs live there (along with Amber, Gloria Gaynor, and Laura Branigan). After distancing herself from her teeny-bopper years, the Debbie Gibson's been going back to performing her old stuff lately...

As for Laura Branigan, she was awful during that concert--she forgot the words to "Self Control". It was pretty obvious that the years hadn't been kind to her after the 80s. However, it is still pretty sad that she died so young...

Yes, I believe it was Self Control. I think MTV banned it when it first came out (and when they were still playing videos)...

Not completely safe for work. Pretty over-the-top artsy. They sure don't make videos like they did in the 80s...
