You're not joking. We've been moving stuff for the past 2 weeks and it still seems as though half the house isn't moved yet.

If only it were that easy (or cheap).

Starting my move today. The goal was my bedroom and the kitchen.

I woke up about an hour, have nothing done, and I'm playing poker now

paid ~$250 for our movers, which only covered the big stuff, no boxes at all. Moving those took infinitely longer than expected. Moving sucks.

My comment when someone says "I moving"

Friend: "I'm Moving."

Me: "Um..I'm out of town that weekend."

Friend: "I haven't told you when I was moving yet."

Me: "Doesn't matter, I'll make sure I'm out of town."

Dropped $160 this morning ($60/hour +$40 tip) for two dudes to move our big stuff. It was worth every single penny, especially since our new apartment is on the third floor.

What really sucks is trying to consolidate what is still pretty much two households (since we're currently in a two bedroom) into a one bedroom apartment. We both have so much unnecessary shit...

Got my car loaded up with small stuff, and I'll probably make two more trips this afternoon with small stuff. Thank god the new apartment is just around the corner.

So Sach...what you doing this afternoon? I'll buy you a sixer of Shiner...

I've moved 8 times in 10 years, so I know how bad it sucks. I only had the money once to pay for the move (and then only because I got a deal).

Moving across countries was a bloody pain- stuff had to be shipped, so you lived out of suitcases for months on end...

We're essentially moving across the street and it's still a pain in the ass.

Tell me about it. Simply moving from Canada to US and back a couple years later and customs were a pain in the butt... Had to list each and every frigging possession we had, with serial numbers for big items (appliances and such)... bleh...

I am in the middle of a Trans-Atlantic move. Second time in three years. Not too bad when the company pays for movers. Pretty painless, except for the fact last time around I lost the coushin to my comfy chair and the pedals to my bike. The chair and bike made it, just not the pedals or the coushin. It was odd. Oh and my stuff got sent to Germany instead of the Netherlands.

Hopefully everything will arrive this time around...

reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Keith Hernandez asked Jerry to help him move.
