Just saw this film tonight and i've gotta say, really one of the more powerfull films i've ever seen. I can't see the Academy giving awards to a movie with this kind of subject manner but man, Kevin Bacon deserves a nomination at the very least, he was simply brilliant. I'm still waiting on Million Dollar Baby, and I havn't seen a ton of movies this year but this is far and away the best one I have seen this year.

It really is powerfull, it doesn't try to give an excuse or make a statement, it sort of just presents itself, it's alot like Gus Van Sants Elephant from last year in that regard, and i loved that movie too.

Saw this last weekend at the local indie theater. Didn't know anything about it except for the brief synopsis from my cell phone. I thought it was pretty good... Makes you feel a sort of uncomfortable sympathy for those "monsters" almost universally considered the lowest of the low. After seeing it I felt very relieved that my obsessions are all legal/ethical/acceptible.

It'd be nice to see Kevin Bacon get an academy award nomination.

He seems like one of those guys that would never win, but would get all the life time achievement awards when hes' 75.
