What ever happened to the black President? I haven't watched 24 in awhile. This looks to be a great season though.

I am in the same mode you are Recoil... I barely watched Season 3... didnt watch much of 2. 1 was awesome though. This does look to be rarely good but I am lost when it comes to who is who, who has what relationship with who, where who went....
SPOILER This Andrew... can anybody give me a short little shmeel on who he is. Who he worked for, his relationships with people. I forget who Richards is..didnt they say Richards showed up to the CTU center. |

Andrew is the one who hacked and found the code. SoD's son is being interrogated because he was the only witness of the kidnapping. Andrew and the son are not related I don't think.

after watching the first three seasons on dvd, I'm now watching this season as the episodes play. I think this might be a bad move on my part. I don't like waiting a week to see what happens. Gotta remember there are two more episodes on tomorrow night or I'll be lost.

He was in every season up throught last season, where it was decided that he (and most of the cast really) wouldn't be brought back (although I've heard that some people from past seasons will make "cameos"). Pretty much everyone is new to this season except Jack and Chloe (the blonde in CTU). |

Good to know they got the "There is no time" out of the way in the first hour. Now all I need is a "you got to trust me on this" and the season will be complete. |

Andrew is a friend of Chloe's from college, so not related to the family of Defense.
The former President Palmer (senator in the 1st season) decided not to run for relection after all the stuff he went thru in the last day. Although he probably will make a guest appearance somewhere along the way (like Sherry and Nina did in the last 2 seasons). Don't know what's in the briefcase. Assuming it was a "government official" who was cuffed to it, probably codes of some kind. Although I started thinking of Pulp Fiction and it was like his soul or something. I don't know if the show can do much more on HBO, other than making some of the violent scenes more graphic. Fox seems to let them push the envelope. That scene with the russian roulette last year was definantely original, and the public service announcement that came right after it made it even more entertaining. The next question is who will bite the dust next. My money and my hope is for the girlfriend of the teenage terrorist. Damn she's annoying, she's worse than his mom (Where were you? I left you like 10 messages? What are you doing all morning? Are you cheating on me?) She's like every bad girlfirend I ever had combined. Potential to be worse than Kim Bauer. |

This was my first viewing of 24. Since I don't think anything good is going against it, I figure I'll probably watch this year.

Isn't the new President guy the same guy that was the father is "Unhappily Ever After"? Then again the black President was Cerrano in "Major League" .

- At least five episodes where someone with crucial information is killed right at the end of the episode. - At least three examples of the CTU doing something so mind-numbingly stupid that you question how they got their jobs. - At least four "arch villians" who turn out not to be the arch villian after all, but are really just working for the real arch villian.

For those of you that may be new to the series or just having a hard time keeping up with the characters or plot, try checking out Fox's 24 website. It has bio information for some of the characters (and info on the actors in case you are wondering "where have I seen them before?"). More importantly, they have an episode guide that goes through the plot of each episode and explains what's going on. I found I actually can find out other things/links by reading through the guides after watching the episode.

my eyes say no, but for some reason my loins say yes to Chloe. I don't really find her attractive, yet at the same time she's very appealing.

What the hell was the "big twist" they were building up in the commercials? While everything was good, none of the people I watched with could figure out what the trailer was referring to.

Jack follows the terrorist who kidnapped the programmer, while Chloe helps him track the guy by setting up a satellite connection. Jack helps the programmer get away after he is severely beaten. The terrorists stops at a gas station and Jack needs to stall him while they continue to get the satellite set up. Jack stages a fake holdup at the gas station, and locks all the customers up in the freezer. After the police surround the gas station, Jack escapes by taking the terrorist hostage. He lets the terrorist go once they begin tracking him by satellite. He is headed back to where the Secretary of Defense is being held. At the end, Jack is stopped by a police roadblock.
Meanwhile, the mother of the terrorist family asks the teenage girl to come over, and she kills her. Also, the secretary's son is being tortured to find out what he knows about the kidnapping. Did I miss anything? Last edited by JimboJ : 01-10-2005 at 09:24 PM. |

I guess it was referring to Jack robbing the store? A "you'll never believe what happens next" type thing, but with Bauer, anything is possible.

Quick recap (turn away if you don;t want to know)...
bad guy followed. met up with two others who were to kill the programmer but Jack shot and killed them. This while Chloe watched from the street camera. Chloe gets the fat guy to help her link a sattelite to track the bad guy. Not enough time while Jack watches the bad guy enter a convenience store so to buy time he stages a holdup (saw that coming). When he gets the word he takes the bad guy out to use as a hostage to get away from police while forcing him to drvie his car away from the scene. He drops bad guy off and gets Chloe to follow on sattelite. Shortly there after Chloe gets found out and arrested by her boss. Bad guy flags down someone and then steals the guy's truck. Tracked cell call proves that Jack was right and they shoudl follow this guy to Heller. Jack gets stopped in a road block by police and show ends with him face down surrounded by cops. All the while. Mom poisons nosey girl friend (saw that one coming) because she knew son would not go through with killing her. Heller and daughter attempt escape by faking heart attack when only one terrorist in the room. Kills that one and uses that guys gun to kill another, that's where he gets the AK-47 but they get surrounded when they decide to make a break for it through the open area of the warehouse. Oh, and the boss' daughter is schitzo and has the neighbors calling the police on her as she has not taken her meds. Just the call that the boss needed while in the middle of a national emergency. There is a new black lady in the show now. She apparantly used information that she was given while sleeping with the black guy to sort of blackmail her way into the spot. She is now also "banking favors" as she has dropped word with the fat guy that she heard his converstion with Chloe. I think that was the basic idea of what happened tonight. |
