The original FOF2004 installation file
I got a quick question:
I just reformatted my computer, I don't have the original FOF2004 install file when I purchased it. Where can I get the original install file so I can install the game again? The official solecismic website and Skydog's link in this forum's main page only have the update to patch 5.1b. The only other option on the Solecismic site is to purchase the game again. http://www.solecismic.com/support/index.php "A patch, updating the game to version 5.1b, was released on December 14, 2004. To install the patch, simply download the installation file and run that file. Those of you now purchasing the game will download version 5.1b when purchasing, so there's no need to reinstall." - from Solecismic Website I purchased the game long before the 5.1b patch, but just didn't keep the original install file. I assumed that the original file would be readily available since it still contained the protection of the e-license. Last edited by castorius : 01-08-2005 at 10:39 PM. |

You don't need the original install file. They are all "install" files. Just download what is available (5.1b) and go from there.

Are you sure about this?
Because I was almost sure that the original install file was alot bigger than the file in that update link. Can anybody else confirm? |

Correct. Both link in the reference thread and the link at Solecismic are full installs of version 5.1b. It has been that way from the start with FOF2004. Each patch has come with a full install--approx 30MB.
