Another One of *Those* Emails
The first hint was that I don't have an account with Washington Mutual.
The second hint was that this was apparently written in an unknown offshoot of English: Dear Washington Mutual client. We wanted to inform you than you must verify your account parity to given email. Follow this link: xxxxx Differently we cannot inform you about your account. Thank you for using Washington Mutual Bank!

I received confirmation of winning two different lotteries (both held the same day!) due to mix ups within three days! The coordinators for these contests were different and the sum was US$3 million one day and US$500 million the other. But they seem to both have the same mix-up and similar letterhead. I am almost scared to provide personal information with the possibility this is a scam. But I think I will as I just got my heating bill for US$210 in the mail and don't have any fucking money to pay it.
LETTER 1 This is to inform you of the release of the E-MAIL LOTTERY BALLOT INTERNATIONAL/ WORLD GAMING BOARD held on the 1st of September, 2004. Due to the mix up of number, the results were released on the 25th of September, 2004. Your email address attached to ticket number 219028657434 with serial number 918735625 drew the lucky numbers of 21-70-81-82-99 which consequently won the lottery in the 1st category. Letter 2 This is to inform you of the release of the E-MAIL LOTTERY BALLOT INTERNATIONAL/ WORLD GAMING BOARD held on the 1st of September, 2004. Due to the mix up of number, the results were released on the 25th of September, 2004. Your email address attached to ticket number G4511465895-6410 with serial number 3772-510 drew the lucky numbers of R-14-88-23-21-45 which consequently won the lottery in the 1st category. hah. these e-mail scams and whatnot are older than jesus himself. Anyone who even remotely believes int his stuff has either not had much contact with a computer, or is entirely too trusting of his fellow man.

I used to be in complete disbelief that someone could ever fall for this crap, but then I realized if there are people who are willing to pay ONSTAR a monthly fee instead of just carrying a cell phone and a spare set of keys then you can get somebody to do anything. |

yeah, people are very unrealistic and unintelligent when it comes down to brass tacks. Just simple common sense would do this world a world of help.
