A guess... maybe the teams are those where a player played but did not start.
Though, I'm at a loss to see a single player who fits this theory... so, uh... I got nothing. |

I'll state the obvious that all 32 teams are represented.

Cardinals, Vikings on the same line make me think of Dennis Green. Was he ever an assistant with Washington or Tennesee/Houston? Or did he play for WA or TN/HOU? Mora's only head coaching position is with the Falcons, but if assistant coach tenure is listed in () then he should have 49ers, so I guess it rules that out. Anyway, just some stream of consciousness posting. Nah, just realized it can't be head coaching because the Pack and the Rams are both in (). Unless the () are teams they played and coached. Bleh! I don't know enough about NFL coaches to tell if there is any correlation.

I am not sure it is coaching. Billick has no connections to the Steelers. Cowher would be connecte to the Ravens via the Browns but the Ravens are there own franchise since the Browns kept their records.

My initial inclination was turnover ratio, where (x) would be negative ratios. The Rams were the worst with -21, Colts the best with +20, Jets next best with +17 while the 49ers, Dolphins, and Raiders were all pretty pitiful. It doesn't match exactly with worst/best at the bottom and the ones in the middle at the top though, as that would be Rams, 49ers, Dolphins/Raiders as shown here, but the 49ers weren't as bad as the Dolphins. So close, but not perfect.

The top line teams scores for Week 1 were
10, 35 (10, 17) Line 2 - Week 2 34 Line 3 - Week 3 9, 27, 13 Yeah, that's going nowhere. |

I'm not sure if your stats are off a bit or mine are (I used NFL.com this afternoon). Nice job.
