OT: Ping - database gurus (esp. Access & SQL)
So, I have an MS Access database which acts as a Front End Client to show data in an MS SQL database. The Access db consists of tables linked to the SQL db, and then some forms, queries, etc....
The SQL Server uses Mixed-Mode Authentication, which cannot be changed (policy). So, as it stands now, when one of the users I distribute this Access Front End to, opens it, they're presented with a login box for the System DSN. Is there any way to embed the login information in either the DSN or the Access db so that my users don't have to type this information? Security is not a risk for us in this instance, just FYI. Thanks in advance.... |
