Nose Bleeds

I've got some tissue up my nostril right now. This is really commonplace for me. I've had 3 in the past week. I've gotten them consistently probably 7-15 each year since I can remember. Does anyone else get alot of nosebleeds?

You have to sit out if your nose starts bleeding during a gang fight. League rules.

Nose Bleeds? I seem to remember hearing that folks who suffer lots of allergies are susceptible to nose bleeds because their sinuses are constantly inflamed and often uncommonly dry due to medication. I'd say it is 50%/50% chance between that and a tumor.

Never had any allergies of any sort, it's just the cold dry air of winter and the drop in humidity that fucks with my nose.

I tend to also get nosebleeds at this time of year, and it's mostly due to the fact that we start heating more, because it's colder outside. More heating means dryer air, which can sometimes lead to nosebleeds. My son bled some a few days ago too... If it's always at the same place, you may simply have a tiny vessel that's kind of cut and you could have it be cauterized.

I used to have a horrible time with my nose bleeding. 7-15 a year? I wouldn't be surprised if I had as amny as 40 a year when I was a kid. They pretty much stopped when I got to high school though. Still had several a year though. I college, they basically stopped, 1 or 2 a year.

I've been getting them a lot more frequently now, though. Mostly credited to the heater in my room drying out my sinuses and causing them to bleed. I try to combat it by cracking the window. Seems to work most of the time.

Try some saline nose spray, that should keep your sinuses moist.

It's the dry weather Shorty. Used to get nosebleeds all the time living in SoCal. Moved to the swampland of Florida and haven't had one since.

Also cut your nails before picking your nose. That might help too.

I'm a chronic nose bleeder and have been ever since I can remember...two or three a week, on average.

I've been cauterized twice. I've been told by several doctors to use a humidifier and to keep my nasal passages moist at all times. Nothing has ever worked...I still constantly get nose bleeds.

Where I live now, it is very dry all year round and I've been told many times that this climate is the reason I get nose bleeds. Bull. I used to live in a very humid part of the country and I used to get just as many nose bleeds there.

Still in search of a doctor who can cure my terrible affliction.

I had a GF who used to get them quite a bit.
Found out later it was because she secretly was heavily into coke.

hope that helps

Yeah, I go through bouts of them, sometimes up to 5 a day, then I'll go a few months without any.

Funny part was a little while ago I was taking an online quiz that was to see how much like your astrological sign you were (I'm an Aries) and one of the questions (at least on the Aries quiz) was, "Do you suffer more nosebleeds than an average person"

Yes, it freaked me out, I now live in a hut in the woods with a wireless connection. They're not going to get me.

I have to second vtbub's post.

I've had my nose broken several times and the ENT Doctor told me to use saline solution regularly.

I feel this thread needs to be bumped. BTW, haven't had a nosebleed for a few months (it's summer baby). But my sweaty hands are in full blast (it's summer baby ). You don't know how bad it is. I have to avoid female contact with hands until I can shake my hand in a corner so it becomes relatively dry. Perfect example, this chick tonight is like feel how smooth my legs are. So instinctively I rub her leg with the back of my hand, not my palm. She decides that isn't good enough and grabs my hand before dropping it and commenting on how sweaty they are. Yea, I know.

Oh how I long for winter when it is cold and I just have soft hands.

read the other thread where you mentioned the surgery, eww really? I could never have that surgery..my dr. wanted to give me valium when she noticed how sweaty my hands were, she said it had showed it helped, but my cousin takes it and has the same problem and it aint working for her so, ill live with it. Whenever a dr. notices, im just like yeah it's hereditary. Obviously i wouldnt mind a guy with sweaty hands..and if someone really loves you shorty they wont care (Cringe would tell you that if he were around IM SURE)..the only time i mind mine, is when im on the phone cuz it'll drip down my arm(sexyyy)im afraid ill get electrocuted or sumthin..and on job interviews when you have to shake peoples hands at least yours are only bad during summer:| mines arent bad constantly but seasons dont make no difference, it can be 20 degrees and my hands can break out in a sweat.. when i workout my hands and feet ARE what sweat on me(everyone SHUTUP)..and whenever i write ive always had to use folded up pieces of paper under my hand to keep the main paper dry, school was soo much fun
