Just In Time For Christmas, Free Crap
Well not crap really. I've got a gaggle of sports books that i've either read and will never read again or have never read and probably never will, so I might as well just dump em off.
The system is simple, 1 book per person, claim it here and then shoot me off an email to suicane AT Comcast dot net with the address you would like the book sent to. Please claim it here first however, this way I dont get a bunch of random emails and I have no idea who is emailing me. In about 2 weeks time, or however long media mail takes these days, your book will arive at your doorstep, huzzah. Heres the list, 7. Warner Wolf- Lets Go To The Videotape 8. Tim McCarver- Oh Baby I Love It All the books are hardcover in good/very good condition, they've mainly sat in my closet for as long as I've had them minus the time it took to read them so the condition is pretty good. **CLAIMED** 6. Shaun Asell- Sex, Lies And Headlocks, The Unreal Story Of The WWF 4. John Feinstein- A Season On The Brink 1. John Feinstein- A Season Inside 2. John Feinstein- Play Ball 9. Hulk Hogan- Autobiography 3. John Feinstein- Forevers Team 5. David Lee Roth- Crazy From The Heat 9. Bobby Knight- Knight, My Story Last edited by Suicane75 : 12-01-2004 at 06:32 PM. |

Wow. I knew most 'rasslers weren't too smart but you'd think his publishing company would correct an error like that SI

I'd be all over the Feinstein books because they sound excellent from everything I've seen, particularly Season on the Brink but I haven't read but maybe 5 non-school required books in the past ~7 years so better they go to someone who would appreciate them.

I'd like the Hulk Hogan book.
Lets just say I've dealt with him before he became Hulk Hogan. I used to train at Hiro Matsuda's gym in Tampa and that's where the "Hulk" got his start.

I know it's not free, but for anybody looking for some reading during the Christmas break, I'd recommend a visit to bookcloseouts.com. They sell books for real cheap, for example they have Feinstein's "Civil War: Army vs Navy" on softcover for only $2... And best for my fellow Canadian friends, they ship out of both St. Catharines, ON for Canadian customers... **end threadjack** FM

Edited to show books that were claimed, and DD, if you're serious about the Roth book lemme know. That ones off limits till DD confirms, not that I expect a mad rush.

Thanks, I loaned that one to a co-worker and never got it back when I left Oklahoma. I'm re-reading A Season Inside right now. I wish Feinstein would go back to writing more of these kinds of books. I know it must take forever to do them, but a new edition of Play Ball would be fantastic. Also highly recommend The Last Amateurs. I think you can get that in hardcover pretty cheap.

On my way out, books are on their way out to be mailed. Warner and Tim are lonely, they're a few weeks away from becoming kindling, or cat liter lining.

Gotten through like 100 pages of the Bobby Knight book. Really interesting read so far. When I'm done with it I'll post in this thread and send it to somebody else.
