Question HELP: How to Post a Table

I've run into this problem several times, and I noticed in Render's new dynasty thread that he is encountering a table-related issue as well. What I'd like to be able to do is post a simple table from a Word document (or converted into something else).

I have attempted to use the WSYWYG (or whatever it's called) editor setting, but all I get is a bunch of ">>" symbols in a table-shaped mess.

If anyone can assist, it'd be greatly appreciated. Please don't just say something like "Just use Saffarcus 3.2" or "convert it to Dingle format." A step-by-step walk through would be much more helpful. I have a lot of experience with Word, Pagemaker, and a few other things, but I am not familiar with HTML or any other web or programming applications.

Thanks in advance!

I've been able to copy and paste directly from Excel.

WYSIWYG

I have had problems with Word though. I have been doing my dynasty editing in FrontPage (into which I can copy and paste from excel), and it works like a charm. Check it out here, and take note particularly of the amateur draft reports.

(Nice run-blocking effort by Mister York, by the way.)

Yeah....no kidding. He wasn't slated to start, but that cost the S.O.B. a few notches upward on my starter's playing time. He's been on the field for 13 plays in four regular season games, and is 0 for 0 in KRB. My starter (Pifer) is 5 for 10.

Let's see how easy that really is, just copy and pasting from Excel?

Why does WYSIWYG have issues with Word? I much preferred writing my dynasties up in Word back in the day, then pasting them over. Now it kind of garbles them, and I have to use Excel for tables. It's not that big a deal...I'm just confused as to why it can't handle Word stuff...

I asked this very same question about a week ago. Apparently Word adds some extra, unnecessary tags. I am now using Front Page to write up, copy tables via Excel, and paste the whole thing onto FOFC.

You should use Open Office for word processing your dynasties. Its free and works exactly the same as word/excel without adding stuff.

The cool thing is copying from HTML, the tables copy right over.
