Anyone watch the Daily Show tonight? (2/24)

Very interesting seeing the discussion on political discourse for such a popular show. Nothing that we haven't had here at FOFC before, but watching Jon Stewart turn on the audience for being so anti-Bush was pretty interesting.

hmm I'll have to watch the replay...

Jon Stewart seems pretty liberal to me, although he does make fun of everyone

I can't remember the guys name now, but it was someone with a new book titled somewhere along the lines of "How Bush became a great President and annoyed all the liberals." So I figured it would just be a typical interview where the author defends the Bush administration everywhere and Stewart making a few wisecracks but almost immediately the audience starts booing something the guy says and soon Stewart is making cracks like "They're all just a bunch of hippies", typical stuff but Stewart pointed out that while this guy is attacking people like Michael Moore/Franken there are people on the right doing the same thing, and the author says he has half the chapter devoted to how the O'Reilly's/Limbaugh are just as bad. The rest of the interview was the two of them in the middle and actually having a pretty good nuanced argument interspersed with Stewart making jokes about the audience where it was pretty obvious he was annoyed at them.

I think there was a rude comment yelled out that was cut later that embarrassed Jon Stewart. I agree, it led to an outstanding interview and Jon made a lot of outstanding points about the left and the right and their duplicity and hypocrisy.
