Starting CB's - only cover men?

I know that this is what the general conclusion has been and in general it has been my observation as well. CB's cover and S get the int's.

Now, I am playing a game with the expansion Riverside Lone Stars ( taking a small break from the WLC ) and in my third season CB Sam Madison ( somehow I always end up with him ) had 9 ints as my first corner. Now, true, he had a season for the ages but when I looked at the individual leaders I found 12 players with 6 or more int's and 5 of them are CB's and only one of them isn't a 1st CB. I don't know if this is meaningful but this season anyway, it seems that the CB's have held their own in the int race. Any opinions??

BTW, Madison ended up in 13 games with 9 ints 234 ret yds 3 tds 8 defense with 23 catches and a whopping 62.8PDQ. He even added 33tackles, 13 assists and a half a sack. Imagine if he hadn't been injured hehe
