PRE-DRAFT TRANSACTIONS-
Notes:
Designated T T. Mello Franchise Player.
I have the 2nd overall pick in the upcoming draft. I also have three 2nd round picks (#’s 21, 27, & 30 of the round), and one 3rd and 4th round pick (#30 of the round for each).

I’m not losing much in free agency this year but I have 13 players who will be free agents next year.

Again, I have learned my lesson and I will attempt to trade the #2 overall pick.

SFO has the 1st overall pick, I trade the #2 overall to them for 2008 2nd round pick (#1) and 2009 1st and 3rd round picks. If they suck this year, maybe that 1st rounder next year will be good. I am satisfied with the first pick in the 2nd round as my top pick in the draft.

I am not in salary cap trouble, I didn’t look how much I was under before I resigned players, but now I am $23,140,000 under the cap. I want to sign a free agent if there is one that makes sense and I want enough to resign some of my player who will be free agents next year.

I have very good starters at all positions. There are a couple players who would warrant huge contracts, but I am going to focus on my weakest positions, TE and DT. There are no DT’s that I would spend the money on but there is a great TE in Baker. He will be my only free agent I will sign at this stage.

TE H. Baker- 6 years, 24.89M

Rookie Training Camp results:
My rookie RB really dropped off from what he was evaluated at. I’m going to look for a FA and maybe drop him. I might have too many WR’s going into the season.
