Help in installing Real NFL Names

Hello,

I want to have the real NFL names in FOF 4.

I successfully downloaded the "Realnames" file, but can't figure out how to incorporate it, and install them into the game. Besides, my computer doesn't seem to recognize the ".fdt" extension. I have WinZip but can't figure out how to get it inside the game.

By the way, once you make this change can you go back? I am also considering joining a league that doesn't use the real names.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming you've got the correct files for the correct version (ie. realplayer file for FOF4 not FOF2004, vice versa)


If you wanna permanently use that file, you just rename it players and drop it into your FOF folder... it will overwrite the original once you are prompted.


If you don't , since you wanna play in other leagues and such... Backup your original players.fdt that's currently in the folder and save it somewhere.

OR

Select use alternate player file when starting your new careers and select the realplayer file. You'll have to do this everytime you start a new career though..
