I was just hoping for the 10 to show, and then I looked again, and saw the straight flush. If I was Spiderbiter, I would've turned the air blue with my cussing.

Finished 2nd, earning me $27 ($10+1 single table sit and go)

A friend of mind was playing on pacific poker yesterday and had his 3 of a kind beat by a royal flush.

I had quads once and lost to a royal. SOB had *nothing* after the flop, called me when I went all in, and then got a As on the turn and Ks on the river...

That's a good win Delabar. Definitely lucky, as you said. Gutsy to go over mrmarxs raise with a K or Q showing on the board. He was clearly playing as if he had made a K or Q set on the flop, pitting you way behind in the hand with only one out to improve.

So no one is gonna ask Fozzie why he reraised the big blind with K9 suited? I mean it all worked out well, and I am happy for Fozzie. I just think the thread is aptly named.

Glengoyne: We were threehanded in the tournament, and there was a lot of stealing, of "Raise and take it", or "Bet and Take It". SInce he kinda slowplayed em, I thought he was protecting his blinds, and I didn't figure him for THAT...

Well, I guess you should've figure by re-raising your re-raise, he was no longer merely protecting his blinds, he must've had a high pair.

But what do I know. I lost a tournament when I had 3-1 chip advantage heads-up... He was very aggressive and methodically whittled away at my stack. A very humbling experience indeed.
