![]() Okay, I wish I had some more specifics on this, but I don't. FOF2004 just seems to give me an illegal operation at random times, though most often while simulating. If I don't save my game after every week, I'm probably bound to lose something.
Next time it happens, I'll record the error message. For now, I'm just wondering if this has been happening to anybody else. I'm winning Win98SE on a P3-866 with 256MB RAM. This issue, although not a killer, has made me less likely to play FOF2004 when I could be playing something else. I always feel like I'd LIKE to play, but I'm afraid of the game crashing. Is this only happening to me?

Apart from the (now-fixed) TCY Import crash, FOF 2004 has never crashed for me, and I've played it a LOT.

That's strange, never seen an actual crash like that myself, apart from the obvious TCY issue.
The game doesn't take kindly to being minimized while simulating though, it will crap out on me every time I do that, although it just stops responding, no actual message. Were you trying to do anything else while simming? |

I'm not sure. I may have had a MUD client running at the same time. I don't think I've been doing much else EVERY time it's crashed, though, so I don't really know what the problem is.

I've played the game quite a bit and as others have reported my ONLY issue was the "previous TCY import crash".

No crashes here. I've played it for many, many hours on 3 seperate machines with 3 different OS's (98, XP and Win2K).

I've had a crash.
Somewhere around the 5th season, the game started crashing during the in-game, whenever I clicked on "View" play. After installing 5.0a, the problem stayed. I started a new career, and the problem went away. I wonder if this will pop again later in this career? |

I've had the random crashing, too, most of the time while simulating, but once during free agency (that bit hard). Of course, I'm using Windows ME, which is probably the problem.

Now that I think about it, the last time a FOF game crashed on me was the pre patch FOF2. It would crash if you didn't haveat least 5 WR on your roster and you had the computer set your depth charts.
Course, I don't use the TCY draft files as much as most of the guys here.
