Does anyone know how the inflation slider works?

or what a good setting might be. It seemed in past versions the inflation was fast, and salary caps rose at a rapid rate. I for one think things should be slowed a little, and am wondering if anyone has experimented with this feature yet.

I think I set mine at 25-50 to see how it would work, but I haven't played enough to get results. I think it's defaulted at 25-80.

I don't have the game yet (PC gettin' worked on), but is it possible to set the inflation to zero (or really close to it)? I think I read somewhere it is, but I'm looking for confirmation. Thanks!

Yep, just set it to '0' and '0'.

If you set it low get ready to make cuts just about every year just so you can fill your roster.

I was gonna keep my mouth shut, but with that comment, I can't. With the (realistic) heavy backloading of contracts, cap out offers, etc., playing without inflation would have to SEVERELY change the financial structure/integrity of the game.

I'm using the default setting. I have cap problems, but deservedly so, because I signed FA's with impunity in year 1. (Those first-year lowball contracts look AWFULLY tempting!) A few starters are getting released, which happens in real life all the time, but I haven't seen any stars get cut. Works for me.

EDIT: I'm stupid. each point represents a $100k increase in the cap, and you're setting the potential range. 28-80 means anywhere from $2.8 mil to $8 mil each season.

Way to read the fine print. *slaps self*
