Oh this must be some sort of joke.
So I mentioned FOF5 is coming out soon. What does Mother Kormelink say?
"That will be a good Christmas present, eh?" WHAT. I am not waiting 'til Christmas for this game. Last edited by korme : 11-06-2003 at 02:12 PM. |

Sucks being a dependent, doesn't it?
Maybe if you had been nicer to Russ, you wouldn't be stuck with only one source for the money...

Shorty, get a job and then get an atm...dont they let you have them when your 16? I'm not positive. Look at me not remembering (as if I was old) even though I'm only 21.

Just "borrow" the credit card. It's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission

Shorty,
Despite the pictures that you have posted here, you appear to be old enough that Christmas isn't really the wonderous surprise that it was when you were 6. So you should do what I did and continue to do - lobby for a 2 month "Christmas zone" where you get stuff that counts toward Christmas during the months before and after Christmas, acknowledging that you won't get a ton of stuff on Christmas morning. Works for me.

I'm sure you can probably open a bank account with a check card. edit: more detail since Shorty clearly isn't a master of finance. A "check card" works just like a credit card, and appears to be one. The only difference is your credit limit becomes the amount of money in your bank account. I'm pretty sure you could open a savings or checking account and get one of these, even at age 12.

Tell her that getting FOF5 for Christmas is a great idea. Then tell her the game takes 6-8 weeks to ship. She hands over the credit card. You download the game and you're playing that night. Just have one hand on the ALT-TAB keys in case she walks in on you. Of course, you've grown up in the era of internet porn, so you've mastered that already. |

Exactly. Tell her this is what you want for Christmas, but that it is here early. Tell her you have friends who will be joining multiplayer leagues. That stuff always worked for me. My B-Day is in February. I could ususally snag a really nice present by asking before Christmas if we could just combine my B-Day and Christmas presents into one in January. TroyF |

I actually have a credit card, and I am 16. The only reason is when I got to Lafayette, (half hour away) I can buy stuff with out her being there. It all ends up going on her account, and she can see how much I spend at any store I buy somthing. There are of course restrictions, like she has it, and I can only get it when I am going somewhere, or buying something off of the net. It is kinda nice, and my mom is really cool about it.
