Not a bad start for the Phenom...
12 Points in 10 minutes on 6-9 shooting. Plus he did the unselfish thing, giving up an easy fast break hoop for a teammate.
The Kings are good though. That was the best pick and roll I've seen from a combo not named stockton and Malone in 5 years |

dola: 39-32 after one: Is this streetball or 80's NBA? There's been halftime scores in preseason lower then that!

cooled off alot in the second quarter though, still you've gotta be impressed with his numbers so far: 12 pts 3 rebs 6 ast, not bad for a kid just out of High School.....

Third quarter is looking pretty amazing as well...
Last I checked, he's got zero turnovers, as well.

I must admit it was a very impressive game, but it was just one game. I think the media is going to latch onto this game and hype LeBron even more (if that is even possible.)

I think he would have been smarter to not choose number 23. Even if it is a tribute to Jordan (which I imagine it is, I don't follow basketball all that closely), it will only feed into the is he the next Jordan hype that can only lead to problems for him.
Nice start for him though. |

I thought LeBron was overhyped, but the kid is the real deal. I can't imagine what he's going to be like in four years, or what kind of money he's going to make at that point when his contract is up.

The NBA has a structured contract system so that Lebron won't be making anymore than Carmelo or anyone else from this past draft. Outside of the NBA though, I'm sure he'll have companies fighting for him, and in the process paying bajillions.
