Ty is fine
I was not sure where I was supposed to put this but I was ordered to let you know Ty is fine. He called an hour ago and then went to take a nap. He sounded exhausted. He could not get the laptop he brought with him to work at the hotel. They have been working nonstop since he arrived there and he thinks they are making some progress. He suggested anyone in the area stay inside out of the ash because it is causing problems with breathing especially for those who have respiratory ailments. He also said that the firefighters have done the best job he has ever seen with such a large area. He believes the weather is changing in their favor but it is hard for him to tell from where he is.
The people in California affected by this are in our prayers. Claire |

Second what SkyDog said. Plus a little prayer for Mrs. Horned Frog. It's gotta be tough being a Fireman's spouse.

Not that really matters, but I am curious: where did the powers-that-be send him? Did he go to San Diego County (that would be my guess)? Or to the Simi Valley fire.
While good weather conditions prevail, the LA and San Bernardino County fires seem to be getting under control, while the San Diego County ones continue to be the most dangerous, although none of the fires are 100% contained yet. I hope he continues to be well wherever he is, and I am happy that we have fine firemen from other states here to help us out. CR

Chief Rum from what he told me he is in San Diego County working on the Dullzera Fire? There was a point when it went into Tijuana and they put that part out. Much of the reinforcements are going to the Cedar Fire which he said was the main one and when they get this contained they are going to help on that one. That is really all I know.

That is a relief. Ty is one of the good ones.
Anybody that played ironman 6 man football at Zephyr and had 2900 yards rushing and 29 sacks can handle a little old fire in California.

Ty called a few minutes ago and said they had a good day today with the weather. it drizzled and there was fog and it was around the 50's. He and his group have now gone to the Cedar fire. He also wanted to say he was told that some baseball players I don't remember the team somewhere in San Diego and some of the football team Chargers? brought a lot of food and supplies for those who lost their homes. They may have trouble tomorrow with high winds and a firefighter lost his life. I told him that was on the news which he didn't know because he hasn't seen the news.
There are a lot of states there now and they have been able to rotate people after 18 hours. He thinks if they get lucky they might be able to contain everything by Monday but they are digging in for the winds if they come. I hope this helps. Claire |

Thank him for us. FM

Tell Ty he is on the prayer list here. As a Firefighters son, I know these guys are all heroes. I love and appreciate him for what he is doing.
