One more TCY -> FOF 2004 ?
Since the rookie draft in FOF 2004 will be in 2005, can we use the first year of TCY college players for the draft? I think it's year 2003... or do we need to wait until we are in year 2005 in TCY?
Basically, do years matter in TCY -> FOF 2004? Should the graduating class in TCY correspond with the year played in FOF 2004? Thanks, Todd |

I'm sure this will be addressed one way or another with the patch that was mentioned.

I would think years would matter, since the game uses the player's birth year for various things (instead of just an arbitrary Age value). So yeah, I would think you would have to wait.
But remember, you have to wait only until 2004 in TCY. The players that gets exported after the 2004 TCY season gets imported into the 2005 Draft. |

A thing as simple as a start date for the league baffles me with its absence from each FOF game.

Sab, it isn't hard to calc the age from the year of the league. A rookie is X number of years younger than the current year of the league.

You can set a start year using the player file editor. Just go in and edit the year from 2005 to 2003 and your set.

Export will be from the 2003 college season, being the first draft would be in 2004.

will that work with the TCY draft files? I doubt it. Doesn't it carry over their BDay? |

It was included in FOF4 in the editor. You can start any year you want. |

You can either edit the birthdays in the draft file (FOF4 with 3ric's editor or I believe FOF2004 will allow editing of draft files) or you can edit the league starting year to coincide with the TCY draft files. Either way is possible in FOF4 and I see no reason why it wouldn't be in FOF2004. |

Ok, now I'm confused....
Not really, I can either edit FOF 2004 and take it a year back or wait until the following year in TCY to export the draft file? Thanks, Todd |

The draft class from TCY will enter at the end of the first season in FOF. I am assuming, that FOF2k4 simulates this NFL season. TCY simulates this college season. Therefore, they line up, and no editing is needed.

I'm a little miffed about having to wait for TCY to be updates in order to export drafts to FOF 2004. I've been dutifully waiting for FOF 2004 by playing through multiple seasons in TCY, exporting and saving my classes as I go... Only to find out that I've got about a decade's worth of unusable TCY player files... I had some real studs coming out of the Univ. of Minnesota too....
