OOTP5 Sim Speed

Did it slow down significantly with the newer patches? (I never installed 5.12, but just installed 5.13.) I used to be able to fast-sim a season in around 10 minutes. I left my comp. fast-simming while I did other things this morning, and it only got through a season and a half in about 3 hours.

Not that I have noticed, I can still sim a season in 5-7 minutes. You might check for other stuff running in the background or spyware, etc.

I actually noticed something similar. Not sim speed slowness, but, as I played, there were some serious slowdowns at times, as if there was a memory leak somewhere in the game.

weird.. I was just commenting with people on a different message board that it seemed to me that OOTP5 got faster with the 5.13 patch... funky.. I have only tried it on my laptop so far though, not tried the new patch on my faster desktop machine..

And to round out the experiences...I haven't noticed an appreciable difference one way or the other.

Heh. Rebooted and things are back to normal. About 6 minutes for regular season, three minutes for offseason.

Not problems here either SkyDog.

I have never simmed a whole season before, I usually sim a month at a time and then look at the stats to see what changes I need to make.

But I normally can sim a month in about 10-15 seconds. It is still the same after the latest patch(5.13).
