The Feeling Is Mutual
So she confirms what we all have known for years...
Streisand: Own songs 'boring' LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Barbra Streisand says she finds listening to her own songs is so boring that it was one of the reasons she gave up public performances three years ago. Streisand, 61, told Reader's Digest in an interview for its October edition that once she has recorded an album, she is so sick of the music that "I never listen to my records for maybe 10 years." "Really, I just get sick of it. That's why I gave up concerts -- in addition to having stage fright and the exertion of singing 30 songs a night. It's boring to sing your own songs," she said. Streisand bid farewell in September 2000 to her sell-out career as a public performer but she emerged last year to sing at a Hollywood fund-raiser for her friends in the Democratic Party. A new album, "The Movie Album" -- her 58th recording -- is due in stores in October. But Streisand told Reader's Digest she doubted whether she would embark on any more public concerts. "It's fun to create a show and direct it and conceive it -- except that you have to do it, you have to perform it. I never think of that until it's too late," she said.

Hmmm... I would've been more apt to agree with this if the headline were:
Streisand: I am an Egotistical Whore-Bitch

Baby steps, guys. Baby steps.
Eventually, she'll come to realize what we all have known for years. But this is a good start.

*waits for the line* "You're not getting my Bud Light, Cam"
Or is that commercial reference old enough to be considered esoteric now? SI

hey, I don't consider Spuds Mackenzie to be esoteric, so I think you're safe with that reference for a few more years.

I feel bad for the "I love you, man" guy. He can't even get commercial work anymore (besides that one Snickers ad) because everybody still recognizes him. Plus he can't act.

Wasn't he in some car commercial where he accuses a woman of damaging her car (it was parallel parked very very close to his)?

Well, yeah, I pre-ordered it, but I only put $1 down... not the typical $2.
