Why did you close those threads?

There are many examples of the same type of thing around here that have not been closed, nor should be closed either. (See Fritz' penthouse thread).

Doesn't seem right to me.

Agreed.

Maybe it's our dirty OOTP Online League humor that is making us accustomed to it all.

I am under the assumption there is some history between those two. I had some nasty posts in the one thread as well, so hopefully I won't be beaten and thrown in a closet known as 'The Penalty Box'. That place can mess with your head. Or so I have heard.

I've been to "The Penalty Box." I'd tell you about it, but just thinking of it makes me curl up on the floor in a fetal position (and it's hard to type like that).

You shouldn't ignore me.

Especially since I'll be giving away $$$ to one very luck forum member by random drawing this week. And you'll have to see my post and respond to it.

It's true. I'm giving away $10 this week. I'd intended to do this on my forum as part of Make Mine Stupid, but since nobody ever came, I'm just going to make it a random event here. Actually a one time event. This is the $10 that was to be given away on August 1st.

As long as the money is paid in pennies that can be put in a sock to beat a random member of this board with, I am in.

Not in the American English vernacular ...

This is the United States, not Canada, not Australia, not Great Britain.

An AMERICAN English teacher would teach students to use check.

SkyDog ...

You really should go back and check your PMs for a message called "Our Little Secret."

I believe you promised that you would not reveal my new identity on this forum as neofied. And now you have.

I do NOT appreciate people breaking promises, not one bit. Promise breakers are worse than liars.

"This" isn't the United States. Nor is it Canada, Australian, or Great Britain.

"This" is a message board on the internet, a place where people of all nationalities can gather around to make fun of you.

We're kind of like a sarcastic, more violent version of the U.N.

Just curious, but why did you treat neofied better than me? You didn't know who neofied was did you?

But if I asked SkyDog to kill off mrskippy (as I've thought about doing) went back now and posted as neofied, you'd start treating me differently, wouldn't you?

You'd treat me (neofied) as if I were mrskippy and not as if I were neofied. Am I right?

The original idea was to stay on as neofied and never post again as mrskippy. Than on my birthday when it said today's birtdays (neofied and mrskippy) I was going to reveal the truth.

But still SkyDog shouldn't have actually confirmed or said anything. So I still feel he did break a promise never to say anything.

I see, so everything is cool as long as you have a new identity, huh?

You're such a coward. You're not content to sleep in the bed you lie, so you seek to escape your past actions and all responsibility for the dumb things you have said and done by taking ona new "secret" identity.

And moving all this intot he sublime is that you blew your own secret by posting your mrskippy picture from brian.neofied.com or whatever. Good going, Einstein.

You know what's worse than liars and promise-breakers? Cowards and responsibility-shirkers.

CR

P.S. I didn't treat neofied as anything period. Can't say I noticed you as neofied one way or another, so much as I recall. The reason neofied got treated better is because he was being treated normally, like any "new" poster. You have proven as mrskippy that you don't deserve that level of courteous treatment.

Hmm ... lemme see CR ... you and several others told me to give up the name mrskippy and start over. I remember getting e-mails and PMs from you and several others.

I still don't understand what so many of you have against me. You've never met me. You don't know me. Yet you judge me.

One thing that these boards aren't able to capture is the emotion, the sarcastic expressions, the laughs, etc. A few :0 8) don't really mean much.

It'd mean a lot to show you people who I really am, what I'm really like, and prove that I'm not a bad person as you think I am.

And why is that? Truly, tell me why mrskippy shouldn't be treated with courtesy and respect.

I respect others viewpoints even though I may disagree with them. A little respect goes a long way.

We all have different viewpoints? We all come from different walks of life?

Only a handful of us have met face to face. Judging someone from an Internet forum is really stupid. The only way to truly judge a person is having actually met them and corresponded with them outside the context of aliases, message forums and chat rooms.

I don't recall PMing you ever. I know I haven't emailed you. Perhaps you PM'd me and I replied--I don't recall--that was a long time ago. I certainly know I have never initiated any private contact with you ever.

If that's what I said (and I don't even remember saying it), then I'm going to have to switch up on you, because I just don't think that's right. You have said some pretty awful and/or inane things in your time here, and you should be held responsible for the actions you willingly take, and not run from them.

As for me or anyone else not knowing you, obviously we don't know you face-to-face. But I have a theory about Internet posting. In some ways, there is a veil over a person, so you don't know who they are. And in other ways, the true person comes out more often than they ever would in a face-to-face encounter.

IMO, we have seen enough of you over the years to have seen plenty of the "true you", which I believe is the "asshole" we are constantly subjected to when you go on your standard daily rants or insult parades.

If I have to explain to you why mrskippy doesn't deserve courtesy and respect, you'll never get it. A rational person I would just tell to go back over mrskippy posts for the past year or two. But I already know from past experience that you are not a rational person, so pointing out the posting crimes of your past would be a pointless venture.

If you want to do some looking up of things yourself, though, feel free and find the old Angels posts you were so kind to put up following the Angels' victory in the Series last season. Yeah, you were a peach.

If you truly believe a good part of the true you doesn't show in Internet posting, than you aren't just irrational and insulting, you are also incredibly naive.

We're all entitled to our opinion. Some of us are more moral/less moral than others.

Heck, mrsimperless had two threads closed today. I didn't think there was anything necessarily wrong with them and wouldn't have closed them myself. Offensive? Sure. But this is pretty much a man's message board.

As for "supposed Christian morality" I think if you took a look at some of my threads as neofied and even a few recent ones as mrskippy that you'd notice I'd toned down on the "morality" thing.

I will admit, when it comes to things I do need to lighten up and go with the flow. I need to lighten up and take the jabs from those who disagree.

And if getting beaten down, I need to admit defeat.

In the end though, I'd hope that some people could show "courtesy" and at least "respect" my opinions. I'm not asking for people to "agree" with me.

You can't tell who a person really is from posts on an Internet forum or in a chatroom.

There have been many cases where people weren't who they made themselves out to be in an Internet forum or chatroom. And I don't think I need to explain that. Just put two and two together, think about the stories you've seen on the news, and you'll figure that one out.

Have I been an asshole on this forum? From time to time, yes I have.

Have I been the ONLY asshole on this forum? No.

As for my Angels thread, come on now, you can do better than that. That's just good old sports trash talk.
