One of those weird mind-reading games

How is this working? It's driving me crazy!

Your number will always be a multiple of 9, and all the possible outcomes have the same symbol. Further, the symbols change everytime you run it, so it seems a bit more authentic.

Pretty cool actually.

They move the symbols around each time. There are only a limited number of possible outcomes when you add the two numbers of a two-digit number together and subtract it from the original number. And it appears they're all the multiples of 9.

Try watching the symbols that appear on 81, 72, 63, etc. each time, and they always change.

I first saw this about two years ago, and for about five minutes I was stunned...at which point the alcohol cleared out of my head long enough for a moment of clarity

Been making the rounds for quite some time (see http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/for...hlight=psychic), but it is a neat trick, and someone put some effort into the graphics.

I didn't even have alcohol on the brain -- I should have got that! Well, now that I have my coffee and your explanations, it makes more sense. Thanks, guys.

I remember the first time I saw this. I was in 4th or 5th grade, so it's been around for a while. The class was amazed about it, but after about 5 minutes of studying it I knew I was being boonswaggled in some way and figured it out. Main thing is: nothing can read your mind.

'cept those little green alien fellers I saw in my corn field last night.

Well, I knew THAT, I was just too lazy to figure out what the trick was and I knew someone here would have known.
