Question Where is HornedFrogPurple?

Does anyone know his whereabouts? He seems to have disappeared a few weeks ago.

I was wondering the same thing a few days ago. According to his profile, he has not posted since June 15th.

I think it's been nearly a month since he's posted. Kinda weird. Hope he's OK.

Of course, the only place that he was posting the past few months was the Hattrick Forum, so the Dark Side had already taken hold of him...

SkyDog, please don't use the phrase "I just shot him..." in a thread relating to a missing person. You scared me there for a split second...

Someone should log onto the Avlis Neverwinter's Nights server and see if he's still there. He used to play a lot with Fritz, Quiksand, and me and he was much more into the world than any of the rest of us... I could easily see that becoming an addiction.

He's getting me worried too. I sent him two emails in the last two weeks and a HT-mail, the internal email on Hattrick, the last one being this past weekend. He still has not replied...

Hmm, today's his 86th birthday. Perhaps he had some health issues he hadn't told us about...

In all seriousness, I hope he just went on a random vacation, or something, and nothing's really wrong.

That, or he realized how stupid we are here and moved with his life.

But anyways, here's to hoping everything's alright.

I checked the boards over there (Hornace is his login name). He posted there today (7/14) about making a burning something-other for someone. Looks like he's been posting regularly over there.

My gues is that he's lost in Avlis, but otherwise fine. That game is liquid crack; I'm not surprised he's not responding to anything else.

The only thing that saved me was a two-week trip when I couldn't play. After a week away from it, the withdrawal symptoms stopped, and I realized that I could either live a relatively normal life where I have a wife and my son knows my name, or I could be Godbolt Zillius, Fighter of Avlis. Impossible to do both, though, that's for sure. All I had to do was log in, and I was gone for hours. I made sure to uninstall the game so I wouldn't be tempted to start up again.

I was thinking about him the other day. CU is moving to a defense exactly like TCU's. Wanted to ask him about it. Hope everything is well.

Glad to see he posted something today. I didn't want to say anything until we learned more, but a google search for Fort Worth firefighter turned up a story about one dying over the weekend. Since it didn't really fit the timeline of his last posts, I didn't think it was him, but you never know.

Glad to hear that's not the case.

I've seen this brought up on other boards. On one, it was brought up about me as I pretty much drifted from it for a while and everybody wondered where I'd been.

I think it would kinda be cool if we had a few designated people who would keep track ( even if it simply meant a "piss off, I'm going home" thing ) of the regular posters in case something happened to one of us.

I have no idea how it would be done or if it's even possible and it would certainly be more personal than what we have now and many wouldn't like that. Still, we've been a community for a long time and show no sign of slowing down. In a non virtual community, these kinds of things are no brainers and mostly people know when people drift away and why even if they don't follow them after they do.

The online world is long overdue to have something like this IMHO and I got the idea because I was the one overdue.

We're all doing the "note in our wallet for our wives/significant others to find if we suddenly die" thing, aren't we?

I chatted with HFP recently over the Avlis server. He has had some family troubles which have caused him to be away for a while. He let me know that he intends to be back here when things are settled. His health is fine - he is okay, and he'll be back before long, I suspect.

Obviously he knew you were faking.

No one would actually root for TCU.

Duh.

I see HFP turned 86 today. I wonder if any of the rest of you frogs can convert that into human years?

You would think his ears(?) would be burning up right now, since we are all talking about him.
