Online Jersey Buying?

Would anyone else here buy a jersey off of ebay? I'm bidding on a Vick jersey... I know the new Falcons jersey isn't the greatest, but I need a Vick

Would you guys trust it?

If it's autographed, or something like that (game-worn, etc.), I might be a bit weary.

Otherwise, no, I'd be confident in bidding.

I've bought three game-worn college jerseys off of ebay. I got a game-used Jason Zdenek (spelled weird like that) for a 100, got a UAB game worn Jeff Aaron jersey for 65, and a Montana State Basketball jersey for 5. All came pretty quickly. Have been looking at maybe getting a Kent State, or San Jose State one for awhile.

Why the hell did you get those jerseys specifically?

UCLA, becuase that's kinda like one of my dream schools. UAB, cause everything was stiched, was #2 which is my favorite, had a nice C-USA patch, and benefited a charity. Montana State becuase at my school I'm kinda known as the jersey king, and wanted something that was out there.

Ah - fair enough.

Just seemed a bit weird (didn't mean to sound like a jackass in the above post - should have put a smiley in there)

illinifan: Would you want a San Jose State jersey for the same reason (weirdness)? Just wondering...I'm from San Jose, and I know they aren't that good at anything.

Yeah, they for that exact reason. Plus some of the newer ones are really sharp looking.

I've bought a dozen or so jersey's, simply because I like wearing them around the house and when I go out, its comfortable and classy too.

I check a number of things:

A) that they let me pay through paypal, so I can get my money back easily if there is a real problem(I've never have one yet)

B) I look closely at the feedback other people have given.

C) I get picky with what I bid on, they must have good quality photos of the ACTUAL item, keep this in mind, many places tend to use stock photos and sell you a different item.

beyond that its sort of a gut feeling, but I tend to be really wary of any bizaar stuff. I did get burned on one jersey, but it was my own fault for not reading carefully.

my parents freak out too when i spend money on cards all the time. They say they dont want me to "nickel and dime" it away, but i'm not buying junk. I'm trying to build a complete set of 1986 Fleer Basketball PSA graded (i've mentioned this before, and Cam was nice enough to offer to send some cards my way), and then after I'm done with that maybe 1989 score football or a player set of David Carr or Jeff Bagwell. The PSA Set Registry is cool.
