FOFC Winston Cup Season #8

Daytona, FL - Once again 42 teams have gathered in Daytona, Florida for the beginning of another FOFC Winston Cup Season. Past champions Telle Snow, Nick Phillips and Chris Snow are all here looking to add to their trophy case. Last season's rookie of the year Mustafa Henderson who was the circuit's hottest driver at the end of the season is back and is a top contender for the championship. Of course, along with Chris and Telle, Ren Snow is a contender to the title and as is Snow Motorsports teammate Kai Collins.

Travis Elkin in the #19 car cannot be counted out either. Three wins last season shows that he is one of the top drivers around. Teammates Taco Money and Mr. Buttercup Jr. always run well. Billy Rudd had an impressive top ten finish last season but can he repeat last season's success? Rewbie Newsday had an off year with his 13th place finish but should be back contending for the top spot this season. He's added a teammate in #48 Rewbie Bluesday. Bobby Mask had a solid season last year and adds a teammate this season in his younger brother Andre in the #5 Cingular Wireless car. Rob Zalez had an impressive rookie campaign that included 1 win, 6 top 5's and 9 top 10's. But 4 DNF's ruined his chances at a top five finish. John Condor ran well in his rookie season and quietly took home a 14th place finish in the standings. Many other long-time veterans of the series are back once again also.

This season's rookie class is strong once again. Rewbie Bluesday in the #48 Lowe's car. Andre Mask in the #5 Cingular Wireless car. Parris Duffus in the #21 Dr. Pepper car. Antoine Jerome Evander Marriucci in the #46 car, Rob Nielsen in the #75 car and Sloppy Joe in the #87 car.

Another terrific race from Daytona. 148 lead changes kept the action going all day. Only 1 caution flew so green flag pit-stops spread out the field. Ray Zerback held the lead heading into the final lap. But Al Kaholic, Bobby Mask, Nick Phillips, Eilim Cu'Firinne, and Mr. Buttercup Jr all were close behind. Bobby Mask made a move down the backstretch to overtake Zerback. But it looked like Phillips would be able to push Mask up the track in turn 4. But Mask shut the door on Phillips and came across the line .09 seconds ahead to win the Daytona 500.

Yep. They were changed. You'll be able to tell how there working starting at Atlanta. Daytona doesn't show much about the stats.

Yes, this is one thing to always keep in mind.

Super Speedways like Dayton and Talledega have very little to do with your stats. The way the drafting and AI run at those tracks its almost a crap shoot to manage to win or even run well there.

Speedways and short tracks are the real telling places to see how well you're stats work. They use a lot more of the individual sts to regulate how your car is running.

For the past two seasons, Telle Snow dominated Atlanta Motor Speedway. But both times fell just short at the end. This time, it was Telle's day. With only 8 laps remaining, Telle made a daring pass on Mustafa Henderson to take the lead. She never looked back and held on for the win. Telle led 159 laps, Henderson led 153. Three other drivers led a total of 13 laps in the race.

A typical day at Martinsville. Cars continually running into each other and the wall. And one car is able to steer clear of all the mess and pull out a victory. This happens everytime year. But one thing that doesn't normally happen is for Mike Tokunaga to dominate. And that's what happened today. Tokunaga led 265 of 500 laps and won the Subway 500 easily. Only two others were on the lead lap, Shane Kormelink and Chris Snow.

The string of badluck continues for Kai Collins. A 39th place finish after a clutch problem will drop Collins to last in the standings.

The top rookie today was Parris Duffus in the #21 Dr. Pepper car. Duffus came in 10th.

After a few years abscence from the top, Chris Snow finds himself back home again. Three quality top ten finishes have given him the top spot. Bobby Mask finds himself in 2nd. Next up for the 42 drivers in the FOFC Winston Cup is Zenjoltis and the FOFC 500. Zenjoltis is 5 miles long, and wide enough to go 5 and 6 wide. Speeds reach 275 MPH.

Two drivers dominated today's running of the FOFC 500. Sonny Daze had the pole and led for 38 laps, but a bad pit stop gave Nick Phillips the lead and he never looked back leading 52 laps for the win. The race ended under caution after a major pileup with 3 laps remaining. Eilim Cu'Firinne, Andre Mask, Mustafa Henderson, Jay Klayman, Thomas Hudson, Ren Snow, Jeeber D Mack, Telle Snow, Kodos N. The way the drafting and AI run at those tracks its almost a crap shoot to manage to win or even run well there. Speedways and short tracks are the real telling places to see how well you're stats work. But both times fell just short at the end. This time, it was Telle's day. With only 8 laps remaining, Telle made a daring pass on Mustafa Henderson to take the lead. She never looked back and held on for the win. Telle led 159 laps, Henderson led 153. Three other drivers led a total of 13 laps in the race.
