FOF - Oh! Soooo close!
Started a new game of FOF4 today. 10 weeks into the season I realize that Green Bay is 10-0. Interesting, so I will also follow how they do in the season. (This is a pet peeve of my, if I don't check out the league carefully each week, I do not get fully immersed into my league, I generally end up only paying attention to my team....but I digress).
I figure they will lose somewhere between game 11 and 14 (I never had a team go 14-0 as far as I can remember.) So when they do go 13-0, I get a little excited for them. I am fighting for .500 with my team and am definately more interested in the Packers run at this point. They have the 49'ers at 9-4 next and they take them 18-10. Then they demolish the Buffalo Bills (.500 club) 37-6. Wow! In the Playoffs the beat the Saints 22-10, demolish the Rams 40-23 in the championship game, and beat the Titans in the SuperBowl 26-10! Why did I say "Oh, so close!"???? Oops, I forgot to tell about the last game of the regular season the New York Jets beat 'em 38-21. Doh! Oh well, 18-1, best record ever for any team in my many years of FOF! And if you count preseason (3-1 winning the last 3) they went on an 18 game winning streak. I can't believe I get excited playing a football simulation! |

I've been close as well. I seem to lose to a .500 team around the 10-12 week.
Nice story! Todd |

Hmm... I have seen several unbeaten teams. My least favorite was the year that I made it to the super bowl without a loss, and lost in OT to a team with 6 losses.

My teams have never finished perfect, but I watched the Colts do it in FOF2 in, like, 2005 or something.
