Now that I've cracked and made that admission, I wonder if I'm only a couple of steps away from wanting to tongue-kiss Jaromir Jagr and give Bobby Clarke a blowjob.

I laughed more when Sammy said in his press conference that he would accept whatever punishment MLB gave him.

Then why appeal

Wow, this is a shocker. I flipped the channel after ol' man Pat Hentgen gave up FOUR RUNS in about three innings of work, so I missed it.

For years now, I have been complaining about sports fans in the Baltimore/DC "metro area" being "too passive". There are very few in this area that are not passionate enough with the teams around here, with the exception of the Univ. of Maryland. Yeah, I would probably get the "if they did something, we would be more passionate" argument, but these people are so "fairweather" that it's disgusting.

So, on the one hand, it's nice to see someone clever enough to throw cork at Sammy Sosa. Cork is not like...say...batteries or a cell phone, which can be extremely dangerous. On the other hand, totally not cool for the guy to hop out of the stands. I like having passionate clever fans, but certainly not passionate moronic fans.

Oh, btw, no one has spiked the beer around Baltimore, I think that the guy just had too many samples from the various Maryland microbrew vendors around the park.

HERE'S SOME CORK TO GO WITH YOUR CRAB CAKES, HUN!

This was the game my brother and I were at. It was just a brief pause. The fans didn't pay much attention to it but the cops were slow to react, imo.

Just like when he said MLB could test him for steriods and then proceed to get pissed off when the interviewer said, "Lets test you right now".

He's just another reason baseball is going further and further in the dumps.
