moving question

As some of you might know, a good friend of mine is moving to St. Louis next month from Seattle. We're driving her car out the middle of the month, but before we leave she needs to make arrangements with a moving company to have her belongings moved.

Does anyone have any experience with this they can share - good experiences, bad experiences, things to look out for, etc?
