I like Warrick, and wouldn't mind having him... I would've taken him over Givens if Kitna was still the QB. I'm just not too sure about Palmer right now.

MV: I thought about Carr actually, but I figured I'd go with a safer pick and figured McNair will probably be fine for next year if I don't take another QB.

If you are talking about your entire QB board, I would argue that their are other better young QB's (such as Culpepper), however this is an excellent pick of the remaining QB's

I was just referring to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year QB's. Palmer, Leftwich, Manning, Harrington, Carr...etc

Nods, I think he is actually a very good sleeper pick. I was laughing at the purposefully ironic statement about this being a surprise.

I like Lloyd as well. He was one of the top 3 WR on my board when I took Leftwich. He is a high risk/reward player, but late in the 9th round, the risk is minimized.

Here is the draft schedule:
Sept 1st - 5th Sept. 2nd - 6th Sept. 3rd - 7th Sept. 4th - 8th Sept. 5th - 9th, 10th Sept. 6th - 11th, 12th Sept. 7th - 13th, 14th Sept. 8th - 15th, 16th So right now, we are 2 days ahead of schedule. However, I'm afraid that we are going to lose some time this weekend, as people celebrate the holiday. So here are the options. Once we get behind, we go to two hour picks. This is really going to screw people who forget to send in lists, because they will miss multiple picks. If we are still behind on the 8th, we will finish the draft in chat. I don't want to worry about trying to get all of this into the system on the 9th, so if you don't show up to the live draft, you get players from Sportsline. |

Re: Creating a draft list
Here is something that Ive seen work in the past. First, make a list of what Position you would like to pick from in a certain round. Example: 9: QB 10: K 11: WR Then, send me a list of 10 or 20 at each position. That way, you don't have to worry about how fast or slow the draft goes. Shouldn't take you more than half an hour to do. I'm going to post this in the draft thread for others. Thanks! Last edited by sachmo71 : 09-03-2004 at 10:43 AM. |

I know some people think it is early to take a kicker, but I'm going after the top rated kicker on my board (163 points last year and I think the Rams offense will be better this year)

LOL Yeah, I think PK is smoking crack on this one, but we'll see. You got him in a low enough position in the draft though, so it's not like your team is banking on him to have a successful season.
