Radii - FANTASTIC pick. Didn't think of that one, but that is a very, very good pick.

I need a few minutes here. CU Tiger's selection was on my list to pick but I'm not sure its exactly what I would have wanted to take anyway.

Catherine Trammel was very close to being my first round pick, but I went with Leia instead. Mae West was also on my "short list" for "Appeals to Older Men." That one is definitely dependent upon how you define the category.

I have had a thing for Sharon Stone for a looong time, so that was the first thing that came to mind. The Leia and Daisy Duke picks I absolutely love in that category(and probably many others) but i really wanted to get this one for myself

Quite possibly the #1 pick in this category...at least that is who I was thinking of for the top pick. This is a good example of a character as a better sex symbol than the actor.

Well I did a search on her and I found a lot of nudity which is a plus.

But I've never heard of her, so that's a minus.

She's definitely hotter than Shia LaBouf.

I think Radii has the #1 possible pick in all categories he's selected so far. Seriously.

Shannon Tweed was in Playboy in 1983. She is also Gene Simmons' woman.

Having Monroe is huge. She is the babe Ruth of this draft, just heads above the rest.

I think Bond is number one for theatricl but I am bias

1. Celebrity Singer
2. Celebrity Actor, 1.2, Marilyn Monroe
3. Celebrity No-Talent
4. Celebrity Athlete, 5.2 - Amanda Beard
5. Appeals to Younger Men, 2.9 - Angelina Jolie
5. Appeals to Younger Women, 3.2 - Brad Pitt
7. Appeals to Older Men
8. Appeals to Older Women
9. Fictional (Literary)
10. Fictional (Theatrical) 4.9 - Catherine Tramell, Basic Instinct

Maria Sharapova is the current sexiest athlete in the world IMO, and there are some other tennis players I think are hotter than Amanda Beard, but Amanda Beard is an accomplished Olympic athlete who has appeared in playboy.

I think Amanda Beard is a pretty good pick here. At this point it's yet another tennis starlet or you get a little creative. Can't fault this pick, but it's definitely weaker than the top few imo.

Before the creation of this character, comic books were not full of boobs, skin tight clothing and underwear as costumes (on women). Or at least, not on a long-standing character. Created around an S&M motif, Wonder Woman is one of the longest standing comic book characters and has been the desire of young boys and men (with her adaptation on the small screen) for over 60 years.

  1. Celebrity Singer, 4.8, Prince
  2. Celebrity Actor

  7. Appeals to Older Men
  8. Appeals to Older Women, 3.3, Ashton Kutcher
  9. Fictional (Literary), 5.3, Wonder Woman
  10. Fictional (Theatrical), 1.3, Princess Leia Organa

I enjoy Phoebe Cates, but in my opinion, this is a case of actress's hot boobies and single scene overshadowing the actual character, who was largely unremarkable save for those few seconds of sweet, sweet boobage.

As a teenager (especially my early teen years) this scene was etched in my mind in intimate detail. I can't be the only one.

But character?

Interesting. My goal is to pick someone who is a sex symbol, and for an athlete that might not be someone defined as hot universally. So I went with someone who in many pictures I think looks somewhat average, but to me is unquestionably a sex symbol. Playboy, FHM spreads and the like, perhaps its not as recognized b/c its mainly around the Olympics for a swimmer. But I think you've got it backwards. I'm not entirely convinced she's hot personally, but I felt that she's clearly a sex symbol.

Mustang is certainly picking his game up now- Bettie Page is a great celeb no-talent pick (she is rolling over right now that she wasn't the first pin-up selected) - and Clooney would have been my choice for "Appeals to Older Women". I know if I asked my mom, she'd pick/think of Clooney before she said Bogart/Dean who (with all due respect) have been dead for a long time, so I don't know why there would be a "current" appeal there.

Also, Lathum's team is cracking me up. And his spelling.

And finally, I see why Radii is everyone's favorite right now: Seems to me everyone wanted to be creative and not seem unoriginal by taking the Jolie/Pitt, etc route, but instead that is what the general public would expect and Radii's easy-thinking strategy is paying off.

Very entertaining draft so far. It got off on the right foot with the insane selection of SHIA LABEOUF. I've read over this thread twice now, and I am still in shock. I wonder what PurdueBrad's class had as a second choice...Hannah Montana, maybe? Anyway, it was hilarious.

The subjectivity, Shia notwithstanding, has made this maybe the coolest draft so far.

My favorite picks so far: Prince, Lolita, JFK Jr. in the no-talent category....that was awesome and very accurate.

My least favorite picks so far: Mae West (sorry, this may be a great pick, but it's reaching too far into the time capsule to really hit most voters), Shia LaBeowulf (did that really happen?), Venus DeMilo...yeah, as dude who picked it said "trying to be too clever". A twist can be good in these drafts, but that was just too cute. Someone else should choose an Easter Island head for "Appeals to older women...wayyyy older women"
