This could be one of the worst umpired games I've seen in a while. Three horribly blown calls, two by the 3rd base ump (one of which erased a Yankee run).

Terrible call on the double play at third.

Stub Hub sent out the following email...

Quote:
We'll take two behind the duguout

This season, the Mets were pretty much out of the playoff race by the All-Star break.

That, however, didn't stop StubHub from sending out an e-mail yesterday offering tickets for Mets playoff games.

"Be there alongside your New York Mets as they chase baseball immortality," the e-mail read. "Go to StubHub, where you'll find a fantastic selection of tickets to every playoff game . . . "

A StubHub spokesperson said the e-mails - which went out to fans of several teams not in the playoffs including the Cubs - were a glitch and apologized for any inconvenience.

It's a home run party at CBP...4 home runs in 1 and a half.

Now Hamels needs to turn the clock back a year and shut them down.

If the Phillies win the pennant, I am rooting for the Yankees to sweep them with four straight 20-0 wins.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

OK, I'll come out and say it.

Hamels had a hot streak last year that simply coincided in the playoffs. I think we all overpumped our career expectations for him based on his four post-season outings.

Clearly, he's not that pitcher. And I'm not sure he ever will be. At this point, he is probably the Phillies "worst" pitcher in the starting rotation.

I work most nights, so no, I haven't seen most of the postseason.

I'm about ready to support MLB fully the next time the umpire CBA comes up. Bring on the scabs.

I rooted for them too.... Well as soon as I saw that ifthey scored that winning touchdown (and made the XP) it would give me the win in the Super Bowl grid that I was in. That sort of counts.

Of course going into it I wanted the Patriots to win just so we could stop hearing Mercury Morris whine every time a team gets close to going unbeaten.

This umpires have not only been very inconsistent behind the plate but have made some of the worst on field calls I can remember in the post season. See yesterday's game as a perfect example of that.

Looks like Howard won't be breaking that record, unless they put together a big inning now and/or the 8th.

I synced up the Phillies radio guys with the TBS broadcast. I was tired of hearing Ron Darling and Buck Martinez.

I would have figured he would say Rollins or Victorino though. They tend to be the ones that usually get the hate.

It's more of a joke at this point, exacerbated by RKG's bumping of the offseason thread every time he does something good.

I'm sure he's clean, but him one-handing a ball an inch off the ground for a HR against the Mets early in the year was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.

Okay, was just curious as he seems to be one of the quieter players on the team.
